Probably the coolest light I have ever seen. There’s no planned obsolesence here. You’ll want to keep this light forever and since it uses LEDs, which even uses less light than compact flourescent lightbulbs, it’s a no brainer.

I think that Herman Miller claims that the light will last for 100,000 hours (8x the norm)
It also seems to be racking up the design awards the last few years:

Thanks for the comments….there’s some great info in that link! Unfortunately, it’s still carrying the “art” pricetag, but after reading more, it is surprisingly sounding more attractive…
