Here’s an interesting gadget from British inventor Tom Lawton that uses wind power to generate electricity to power a lamp.  Thankfully, all that functionality is included in a single, stand-alone device…just hang it up and you’re ready to enjoy the forthcoming “glow” (judging by the video, light would seemingly be a bit of an overstatement).  Nevertheless, a cool gadget that requires surprisingly little wind (~3mph) to work. 

Definitely worth considering if you’re looking for some outdoor mood-lighting.  They’re taking pre-orders now for around $200 and will ship late summer.
