Yea, you misread that right…If you’ve been looking for a solid “take-over-the-world” platform, Husqvarna (the Swedish lawn-maintenance/dirtbike company) has got just the drone for you. These guys are autonomous AND solar powered, and can mow your lawn without being told.

As if that weren’t enough, if your plan for world domination goes south, these guys are made of 90% recyclable materials (anyone know what % a normal mower is?), so you can rest easy knowing they may be reincarnated as your next outdoor sofa.

Now, the solar panels here only work to extend the time mowing available for each trip out and assistance while on the charging station, but that still equates to a much lower energy consumption for mowing the same square area. It also “eliminates the need for fertilizers” (umm, isn’t that a mulching mower?), but I guess the type of person that buys one of these probably woudn’t be able to decipher that.

At around $4k, it’s actually not as ridiculously expensive as you’d guess…A lot of riding mowers go for around there as well, but riding mowers won’t be very helpful with that whole world domination thing…not to mention, are really trumped on the lazy factor by the Automower.
